Sapphire Windows Types
Sapphire Coated Optical Window
Sapphire Coated Optical Window features single- or double-sided coatings to enhance transmittance or block specific wavelengths within the sapphire range (280–5500 nm). Designed for applications such as high-power lasers and precision optics, these windows combine the durability of sapphire with optimized coatings for improved performance and reliability.
Sapphire UV-Grade Window
Sapphire UV-Grade Window is made from high-purity KY sapphire, offering excellent transmission in the ultraviolet range. Standard sapphire transmits UV from around 220 nm, but our low-absorption KY sapphire extends the transmission edge down to 168 nm. Combined with precision coating technology, these windows deliver enhanced UV performance for advanced scientific, industrial, and optical applications.
Sapphire Transmission Window
Sapphire Transmission Window is one of the most widely used types of sapphire windows, designed to provide high optical clarity and transmittance. With precise surface flatness and superior polishing, wavefront distortion can reach 1/20λ, surface quality up to 10/5 grade, and surface roughness below 0.5 nm. These features make it ideal for imaging, high-power laser, and precision measurement applications.
Sapphire Single-Side Reflective Window
Sapphire Single-Side Reflective Window features a reflective coating on one side, providing high reflectivity while maintaining the inherent durability and optical clarity of sapphire. It is widely used in optical tracking, measurement, fiber reflection, and laser applications, gradually replacing traditional materials like quartz due to its superior stability. With surface flatness up to 1/20λ, surface quality of 10/5 grade, and surface roughness below 0.5 nm, it ensures precise optical performance. Additional coating options, including metal reflective and anti-reflective layers, are also available.
Ultra-Thin Sapphire Window
Ultra-Thin Sapphire Window refers to optical flat windows with a thickness below 0.1 mm, designed for applications requiring minimal thickness and high transparency. Using advanced double-sided polishing equipment with precise pressure control, Heeger Materials can reliably produce ultra-thin sapphire windows ranging from 0.05 mm to 0.1 mm in batch quantities, ensuring excellent flatness, surface quality, and optical performance.
Sapphire Protective Window
Sapphire Protective Window is a high-strength, transparent single-crystal aluminum oxide (Al2O3) component designed to shield sensitive instruments and optical devices from harsh environments. It combines excellent hardness, thermal stability, and chemical resistance, making it ideal for use in laser systems, sensors, high-pressure chambers, and industrial machinery. Its optical clarity ensures minimal signal distortion while providing reliable protection.
